Giantstep announced on the 20th that it had won the Grand Prix in the government/public/local government sector in the 'Digital Advertising & Campaign' category at the '2024 Ann Awards Advertising Awards'. This award was an opportunity to once again prove Giantstep's XR content production technology.
'And Awards' is a representative domestic digital industry awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Digital Enterprise Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Broadcasting Advertising Promotion Corporation, and the Korea Internet & Security Agency. It is an event that selects and awards innovative advertisements and contents that have contributed to the digital industry. This year's 18th awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on February 28th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
This award-winning work is the opening content of Seoul City's 'Namsan XR Studio', a project that recreates Seoul's representative landmarks in virtual space to present a variety of stages. This content was planned to effectively promote Seoul City's new XR project.
Giantstep has created immersive content by combining real-time engine’s real-time rendering system and tracking technology using Virtual Production technology. By introducing a real-time tracking data recording technique that is different from the existing chroma shooting method, it has become easier to check the content during the production process, and this innovative technology has provided an environment where cultural artists can understand and immerse themselves in the content more intuitively.
A representative of GiantStep said, “We are very pleased to have won the Grand Prix at the ‘&Awards’ following the ‘Korea Digital Advertising Awards’ since first introducing the content for the opening of ‘Namsan XR Studio’ in June 2024,” adding, “We will continue to play a leading role in the global XR content market through continuous technological development and original content production.”
