
CNT Tech announced on the 19th that it has started recruiting participating companies for the '2025 Sports Industry Startup Leap Center' program to discover and foster promising startups in the sports industry that are in the leap forward stage of startups.
This project is overseen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and managed by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and three operating organizations, including CNT Tech, are in charge of nurturing startup companies. Recruitment will be conducted through online applications until 2:00 PM on March 5, 2025.
The target of the recruitment is a company with a startup item in the sports industry, and must be a company that has been in business for 3 to 7 years or a company that has completed another startup support program for less than 3 years. The selection process will be a written evaluation and a presentation evaluation, and a final 13 companies will be selected.
Selected companies are provided with differentiated programs and support. An average of 50 million won in business support funds are provided per company, and IR consulting, business diagnosis, and customized expert mentoring are supported. In addition, networking with large corporations and investment institutions and demo days are provided to attract investment and support business expansion. Excellent companies are also provided with direct investment review by CNT Tech and the opportunity to be recommended for the TIPS program.
CNT Tech is currently operating two sports mother funds totaling 8.5 billion won and has direct investment resources of over 130 billion won. Based on this, it is supporting practical investment linkage opportunities and expanding various cooperation systems. In particular, in 2024, it will make a direct investment of a total of 800 million won in four companies among the incubation companies of this project and achieve successful results through the recommendation of the TIPS program.
