DeepBrain AI, 'Deepfake Detection Solution' GS Certification Grade 1 Certification

The deepfake detection solution developed by DeepBrain AI (CEO Jang Se-young), a domestic generative artificial intelligence (AI) company, has received a Grade 1 certification from the 'Good Software (GS)' software quality certification system.

GS certification is a nationally recognized certification system introduced to improve domestic software quality competitiveness and to activate distribution. It comprehensively evaluates nine items, including functional suitability, compatibility, usability, reliability, and security, in a test environment that simulates the actual operating environment. Among these, the first grade obtained by DeepBrain AI means the highest level of quality, and its technological prowess has been officially recognized.

DeepBrain AI's deepfake detection solution detects various types of manipulated synthetic content such as face generation, face swap, and lip sync based on ▲video detection, ▲image detection, and ▲voice detection. It is equipped with an API (Application Programming Interface) function, so it can be easily linked with various platforms, making it possible to easily detect large amounts of data. In particular, it has succeeded in commercializing it for the first time in Korea for public offices based on its advanced technology that determines whether it is deepfake based on differences in pixels (the smallest unit of the screen) and the largest number of references in Korea.

Last November, we also released a deepfake automatic detection solution as a service-type software (SaaS) that anyone can easily adopt in the form of a subscription. When users input information such as the characteristics or keywords of the person they are looking for, it automatically detects various platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, X, and Telegram. In the case of illegal adult videos, we have further strengthened ethical standards, such as blurring the exposed parts to prevent secondary damage.

In addition, DeepBrain AI is determined to take the lead in crime prevention and damage minimization amid the recent surge in crimes using deepfakes, such as digital sex crimes and voice phishing. Based on the country's best technology and professional manpower, it is focusing on researching deepfake detection technology, and is continuously cooperating with government offices, telecommunications companies, etc. to respond to ever-evolving criminal methods.

Jang Se-young, CEO of DeepBrainAI, said, “In order to help prevent the spread of deepfake-related crimes, we provided free deepfake detection solutions to companies, government offices, etc. last year.” He added, “With this certification as an opportunity, we will not only put more effort into developing technologies for AI’s positive functions, but we will also actively expand all-out support through cooperation with various entities and fulfill our social responsibility.”
