Macarons, entering 6 Middle Eastern countries

Macaron , a global K-beauty e-commerce platform operated by Blimong Kids Co., Ltd. (CEO Seungwan Yoo), announced on the 19th that it will be expanding its global business by officially launching its services in six Middle Eastern countries on March 1st.

Macaron entered the Indian market in 2019 and has established itself as the largest K-beauty platform in India, with 380 brands including Cosrx and Joseon Beauty and 18,000 products, and as of February, has recorded 1.16 million cumulative subscribers and 1.2 million monthly active users (MAU).

As interest in K-beauty is rapidly increasing worldwide, demand for K-beauty has also been rapidly increasing in the Middle Eastern market. Accordingly, Macaron plans to expand its services to six Middle Eastern countries: the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

In particular, there are many similarities in the documents required to enter the Indian and Middle Eastern markets, so brands and products that have already entered Macaron can quickly enter the Middle Eastern market. Macaron automates document review and error detection with its self-developed AI hygiene permit system, helping K-beauty products quickly enter the Indian and Middle Eastern markets.

Macaron will present over 2,000 products in various categories including ▲skincare ▲suncare ▲makeup ▲hair, reflecting the skin types and makeup trends of consumers in Middle Eastern countries.

In addition, in order to provide customers with an optimized shopping environment, we plan to strengthen customer convenience by ▲improving the user experience (UX/UI), ▲implementing a customized recommendation system, ▲supporting local currency and USD payments by country, and ▲establishing a logistics and delivery network throughout the Middle East.

Yoo Seung-wan, CEO of Blimong Kids, said, “We will target Middle Eastern consumers based on the operational know-how and data we have accumulated in the Indian market over the past six years,” adding, “We will quickly provide new products and seasonal products as well as product lines that meet consumer needs, and leap forward to become the No. 1 global K-beauty platform.”

Meanwhile, Macaron plans to open its first flagship store in Gurgaon, India in the first half of this year and expand its offline channels by adding more than 10 stores within the year.
