Mission Law Firm Holds 'VALLEY GO BEYOND'

Mission Law Firm announced that it held the 'VALLEY GO BEYOND: Silicon Valley Lessons Learned in Seoul' event at the Google Startup Campus Event Hall on February 10th. Approximately 60 companies and venture capitalists interested in entering the U.S. market attended the event, sharing specific U.S. market entry strategies and implementation plans and building a practical cooperative network.

In his welcoming speech on the topic of “Cross-border strategy in the era of transition,” Attorney Kim Seong-hoon, head of Mission Law Firm, explained the changes in the global situation and strategies for entering the US market. In particular, he explained in detail the impact of US policy changes on Korean companies and response measures, emphasizing that “in order to succeed in the global market, a strategy as a cross-border company is essential beyond simple overseas expansion.” He also mentioned the importance of understanding the laws and systems of more than two countries, and of industry-specific networks and flexible governance systems.

At the event, participants divided into three areas: investment attraction, global team building, and marketing and sales, and continued in-depth discussions based on their practical experiences and expertise. In each area, the importance of understanding the investment decision-making process of US VCs and the investment tendencies of each house was shared, the need to prioritize industry expertise when recruiting local talent, and insights on marketing strategies in the US market were shared.

In particular, the investment attraction group emphasized the need for a strategic approach tailored to the characteristics of US VCs, and the global team building group continued with advice on local hiring strategies and governance design. The marketing and sales group emphasized the importance of word-of-mouth marketing through small, trustworthy communities, suggesting the need for a marketing approach centered on the value of the product.

“I am delighted to have this opportunity to share experiences and challenges of global expansion through this event,” said Managing Attorney Kim Seong-hun. “Based on the values of hospitality and solidarity, Mission Law Firm will cooperate with companies to advance into cross-border companies.”

Mission Law Firm recently signed a business agreement with patent firm The Wave and recruited Mission International Partner Kim Du-i as an advisor, thereby strengthening its support for the global expansion of domestic startups. It plans to continue supporting the overseas expansion of startups through various programs in the future.
