Mindful Connect, 'Mind ON STAGE' held

Mindful Connect, a mental health company that operates the mental health campaign brand MINDSOS, announced that it will hold an open mic event called 'Mind ON STAGE' on February 25th in collaboration with CJ CGV and the Justice Foundation to promote mental health among young people.

'Mind ON STAGE' is part of the MINDSOS mental health campaign that helps young people who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness to connect and share their hearts. It is hosted and organized by Mindful Connect, with CJ CGV as the official sponsor and the Justice Foundation as the partner. Through this, the three companies plan to collaborate with the goal of eliminating social isolation among young people and building an offline community of empathy.

In this event, participants can freely share their stories on the open mic stage inside the CGV theater, and if they wish to participate anonymously, they can wear a mask or mask. Listeners who attend can hear various stories and receive comfort through empathy and support. In addition, Mindful Connect invites experts in various fields such as mental health, psychological counseling, and brain science as 'representative listeners' for each session to help participants' experiences and emotions to be more deeply empathized. For this first event, counselor Jang Jae-yeol, a psychological counseling expert, will participate as a representative listener.

The first 'Mind ON STAGE' open mic event will be held on February 25th at 7 PM at the 10th floor of the CGV Myeongdong Station Cine Library in Jung-gu, Seoul. There is no admission fee, and anyone over the age of 15 can participate as a speaker (presenter) or listener (audience). Applications for participation can be submitted online on the Mindful Connect homepage until February 23rd.

CJ CGV’s ESG management team leader said, “CGV has been delivering emotions and comfort through the content of movies, and we hope that this event will help movie theaters become warm shelters that protect the mental health of the local community.” He added, “We will work to ensure that CGV can become a meaningful space that can deliver emotional stability and hope beyond just movie theaters.”
