
Sports powerhouse accelerator CNTTECH (CEO Jeon Hwa-seong, CNTTECH) is recruiting companies to participate in its 2025 sports accelerating program.
This program is a specialized investment attraction program planned by private operator CNT Tech as part of the '2025 Early and Mid-term Sports Enterprise Support Project' supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
The recruitment target is sports companies that have been in business for less than 7 years as of the closing date of the announcement. However, companies in the new sports industry sector can apply for support for less than 10 years. 'New industry' refers to a sector corresponding to the new industry start-up sector according to Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Small and Medium Business Start-up Support Act.
The application deadline is 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 4th, and applications can be submitted through the Sports Industry Support website (spobiz.kspo.or.kr).
The selection will be made through a first round of document screening and a second round of face-to-face screening in accordance with the operating standards for the sports industry start-up support project, and a final 15 companies will be selected. The results will be individually notified via email and phone.
The final selected companies will receive support including ▲up to 80 million won in commercialization support funds ▲investment agency mentoring ▲IR consulting ▲networking with investors and large corporations ▲demo day ▲media relations, etc.
In addition, CNT Tech plans to select three or more excellent companies and make direct investments.
CNT Tech CEO Jeon Hwa-seong said, “Last year, we invested over 1.4 billion won in a total of 7 companies through the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation’s Startup Leap Center and accelerating program,” and “This year, the recruitment requirements have been expanded to include startups within the past 10 years in new growth fields, so we hope to receive support for many business models that converge with various fields.”
Meanwhile, CNT Tech was selected as a sports account mother fund operator in the regular subscription project of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Venture Investment in 2022 and 2023, and is currently operating two sports funds worth a total of 8.5 billion won. In addition, in 2024 alone, 79 companies were selected for the TIPS program, and more than 21.5 billion won was invested in startups in 109 companies, achieving assets under management (AUM) of approximately 130 billion won, recording unusual results.
