Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy) announced that AI startup mBaaS (CEO Jeonghyun Kim), a resident company of B.Cube, a resident space jointly supported by Busan Metropolitan City, Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Korea Real Estate Board, will hold an in-house startup competition utilizing its service (AiApp).
Embas Inc. is a company that provides services that allow anyone to easily create applications based on AI. It was recently selected as a leading company in Busan and recognized as a company that leads the local economy and innovative technology development. Based on this, it provides app development opportunities using its core technology, AiApp, and aims to contribute to the spread of in-house entrepreneurship culture. AiApp is a service that automatically creates apps and websites, and participants can use it to realize creative ideas more easily.
This AiApp competition is based on the principle of developing one app per person, and can be participated in by individuals or teams (but not more than two people within an organization). It is also possible to include external personnel as team members, so synergy creation through collaboration with external experts and developers is expected. Prize money will be awarded to teams with excellent results. The best team will receive 2 million won, and the excellent team will receive 1 million won. The schedule is that a 'PSST (Problem, Solution)-based presentation' will be held at the end of February, and an app evaluation meeting will be held at the end of March, where an external judging panel will directly participate in the evaluation.
Through this competition, Embas plans to focus on maximizing the creativity of its in-house talents and spreading the experience of app development using AiApp services. In addition, the excellent apps selected through this event will be actively supported so that they can be launched into the actual market.
Embas CEO Kim Jeong-hyeon said, “This competition is not just an internal event, but a practical opportunity that can lead to actual startups,” and added, “As our internal members utilize AiApp to directly discover and implement new business models, we will be able to further strengthen the startup-like innovation culture.”
Accordingly, Busan Changgyeong PM Kim Seong-woo said, “Embass launched AiApp through selection as a Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center linked project for the 2023 Startup Growth Technology Development Project Stepping Stone and selection as an early-stage startup package, and we expect to see innovative progress as a regional AI startup in the future.”
