Blockchain and fintech specialist Dunamu announced on the 17th that it has acquired MPAG (hereinafter referred to as MPAG), a global digital sheet music platform operator, and incorporated it as a subsidiary.
This acquisition is a strategic move to expand the boundaries of the transaction platform specialist into the content area and strengthen its global leadership in the digital sheet music and education market.
Dunamu acquired MPAG, a global digital sheet music platform operator, in November last year in the form of equity acquisition. The goal is to build a content trading ecosystem based on MPAG’s technological prowess and global network, lead the digital sheet music market, and strengthen the music education business.
MPI operates global digital sheet music platforms such as 'MyMusicSheet (Global)', 'A Pianist at Heart (Korea)', and 'Kokoro and Musician (Kokomu, Japan)'. The platform features music creators, composers, and musicians who can directly upload and sell sheet music of various genres, including the latest songs, OSTs, and their own compositions.
Currently, MPAG has over 10,000 music creators and over 4 million members worldwide. As of 2024, it recorded annual sales of 4.7 billion won and operating profit of 600 million won. In particular, it has proven its global competitiveness as a startup with overseas platform sales accounting for approximately 70%.
