'Honored' operating company Poferentz attracts investment

Foreverants , which operates the domestic travel service 'Honored' for active seniors, announced on the 14th that it has succeeded in attracting pre-Series A round investment. This investment round was led by Strong Ventures, with MYSC and The Wells Investment co-participating. In particular, MYSC has once again acknowledged Honored's growth potential by re-participating in this round.

Since its launch in March 2024, Honor has secured 15,000 cumulative users in the 9 months since its launch, and recorded a customer satisfaction score of 4.9 on its website. Unlike existing low-cost 7080 elderly travel products, Honor has targeted the 5060 baby boomer generation of the middle class and above as its main customer base. Its differentiated strength is that it helps customers focus on the trip itself by reducing the burden of travel preparation through a customized travel support system such as premium bus operation and travel assistant service.

In particular, Honor was selected for the 'TIPS', a technology start-up support program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in July 2024, and focused on developing its own customer management system (CRM). Through this, it provided more efficient customized customer services and optimized the customer support (CS) process to increase operational efficiency. This technological foundation and customer-centered service operation were recognized for their value when they received the Korea Tourism Organization President's Award in December last year.

In 2025, South Korea will enter a super-aged society, with the proportion of people aged 65 or older exceeding 20% of the total population. According to Statistics Korea, the elderly population will reach approximately 10 million, and improving their quality of life is emerging as a social issue. In particular, while the senior generation shows a high employment rate (36.2%), 7 out of 10 people show low satisfaction with life. Against this backdrop, Honor provides domestic travel services so that seniors can live a vibrant and meaningful life, and focuses on expanding beyond simple travel to include hobbies and lifestyles.

Customized travel services targeting active seniors are already actively operating overseas. 'Road Scholar' in the US offers travel that combines education and adventure, and 'Silver Travel Advisor' in Australia is attracting attention with luxury cruises and activity-centered travel products. These services focus on helping seniors enjoy active and meaningful lives.

“It stands out for providing high-quality services that are differentiated from existing short-term travel agencies and for effectively securing an active senior customer base,” said Hye-rim Yoo, an appraiser at Strong Ventures who led this investment round. “Not only has it become competitive by harmoniously combining reasonable prices and premium experiences, but the founders are demonstrating outstanding capabilities in customer-centered service planning and operation, so we expect continued growth as a trustworthy brand.”

Honor’s CEO, Jang Jun-pyo, said, “With this investment, we hope to develop solutions that maximize customer convenience throughout the travel process and provide daily enjoyment to the active senior generation through technological development.” He also expressed his ambition, saying, “In the future, Honor will go beyond a simple travel service and leap forward to provide a service that transforms customers’ lifestyles into healthier ones.”
