
Playable content platform Real World announced on the 14th that the cultural tourism festival pop-up store 'Guseokgooseok Store', in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, won the Excellence Award in the public/local government category at the 2024 Korea Pop-up Store Awards.
The 2024 Korea Pop-up Store Awards is an event hosted and organized by Popfly, a pop-up store specialized platform, to select excellent pop-up stores through expert analysis and consumer evaluation for sustainable growth in a market with over 1,500 pop-up stores.
'Guseokgooguseok Store' is a pop-up store that sells 15 cultural tourism festivals in a mart format. It broke away from the traditional festival promotion method and created a new space configuration that drew an enthusiastic response from the younger generation. This pop-up store, which was operated at Real World Seongsu in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, welcomed over 12,000 visitors over 16 days, and in particular, the young generation, including the MZ generation, accounted for 90% of all visitors.
Real World CEO Song In-hyeok said, “‘Corner Store’ broke the stereotype that events hosted by public institutions would be boring and presented a new type of pop-up store,” and added, “We will provide even more innovative experiences by collaborating with various organizations in the future.”
