Quantified ESG Signs Business Agreement with WWF Korea

Quantified ESG (QESG, CEO Bae Ik-hyun) announced today that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with WWF Korea (Secretary General Park Min-hye) on the 13th to support the establishment and verification of scientifically sound carbon reduction targets (SBTi) for domestic companies.

This agreement was carried out at WWF Korea, and about 10 people including WWF Secretary General Park Min-hye and QESG CEO Bae Ik-hyun were present at the event. According to the agreement, Quantified ESG and WWF Korea plan to provide practical support through cooperation so that companies can effectively set and achieve carbon reduction goals.

The two companies noted that with the recent legalization of climate change-related disclosures, especially in Europe, it has become essential for companies to set carbon reduction targets and implement them, but they are experiencing difficulties in establishing and verifying specific strategies for reducing greenhouse gases.

Quantified ESG has been supporting the establishment of sustainable management strategies and carbon reduction target settings for various companies, including large domestic corporations, based on IT solutions as an ESG consulting firm.

The agreement partner, ‘Korea WWF,’ is the world’s largest nature conservation organization, and is continuing environmental conservation activities worldwide while also promoting various projects to respond to climate change domestically.

With this agreement, both companies expect to further expand the scope of their cooperation to enable domestic companies to effectively establish and implement carbon reduction strategies that meet global standards.

“We see our important role as resolving the difficulties that companies face in setting and implementing greenhouse gas reduction goals, and through this collaboration with WWF Korea, we will actively support domestic companies to more effectively implement ESG management,” said Baek-Hyun Bae, CEO of Quantified ESG.

Park Min-hye, Secretary General of WWF Korea, said, “Responding to the climate crisis is a key element in increasing corporate sustainability, and we believe that all companies should integrate it into their management strategies. Through this partnership, we will lead domestic companies to make practical contributions to reducing greenhouse gases.”
