Lavawave and Law Firm Iyu Sign Business Agreement

Lavawave , a digital crime response specialist, announced on the 14th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with law firm Iyu to strengthen legal support for victims of digital crimes.

The two companies held an agreement ceremony at the law firm Iyu in Yeouido and discussed ways to strengthen legal support for the protection of victims of digital crimes. Through the agreement, the two companies plan to establish legal linkage services so that victims can systematically receive legal responses and support actual recovery of damages.

Lavawave uses its monitoring solution 'Hyper Detect' and 'Integrated Solution to Prevent Distribution of Bodycam Videos' to quickly block threats from perpetrators, prevent the distribution of illegally filmed footage, and detect leaks of videos and images online. It also protects victims by supporting the deletion of detected leaked data.

In cases where legal action is required, Law Firm Iyu will specialize in criminal complaints and civil lawsuits, and will establish a digital crime response center to provide legal support to victims of digital crimes. The center will be comprised of lawyers and experts specializing in digital crimes, and will help victims smoothly proceed with criminal complaints and civil lawsuits.

The two companies also aim to build a safe digital environment through an 'integrated solution for digital crime response' that simultaneously provides IT technology and legal services from expert lawyers for various online crimes such as digital school violence, corporate hacking response, and response to threats of visiting entertainment establishments.

“It is meaningful to work with Law Firm Iyu to ensure that victims of digital crimes can receive quick and systematic support,” said Lavawave CEO Kim Jun-yeop. “We will take the lead in helping victims of digital crimes safely return to their daily lives by establishing a response system that combines technology and law.”

“We have always felt that in addition to legal services, effective support measures are needed to help victims of digital crimes,” said Minhyeok Byun, managing attorney at Law Firm Iyu. “We are pleased to be able to provide a faster and more effective integrated solution for digital crimes through our collaboration with Lavawave.”
