Disilo , a data analysis startup based on homomorphic encryption, was selected as an ‘excellent project’ in the data utilization planning verification project conducted in collaboration with Korea Credit Data. The project was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Intelligence Service (NIA), and Disilo participated as a private consortium.
In this project, DESILO utilized a homomorphic encryption-based solution called 'DESILO Clean Room (DCR)' to analyze financial data from approximately 35,000 businesses provided by Korea Credit Data. As a result of the analysis, ▲business unit revisit tendency cluster model and ▲financial stability, etc. financial indicators were calculated, and were evaluated as useful tools for improving credit rating models and planning financial products. It is expected that these indicators can be utilized in various fields such as improving financial services for small business owners and supporting regional economic development.
Disilo proved its overwhelming competitiveness in terms of completeness and speed by processing 1 million rows of multiplication operations in just 40 seconds without any data leakage during the data analysis process. In addition, it was evaluated that it faithfully implemented the functions required for actual data analysis and utilization by establishing a data quality management and verification system at the product level.
Disilo has proven its technological prowess and business viability by accumulating unparalleled data analysis experience in various industries such as finance and healthcare. In particular, in 2022, it commercialized a homomorphic encryption-based service for the first time in the financial industry in cooperation with Hana Bank, and has since secured numerous clients and created safe and smooth data analysis and collaboration cases.
“There are increasing attempts in the financial industry to deeply analyze data and utilize it for product planning and service enhancement, and technology that can safely and high-quality analyze sensitive data without leakage is essential,” said Seungmyung Lee, CEO of Disilo. “It will become the foundational solution that will allow companies in various fields, including finance, to create data-based business value.”
