
DayOne Company's in-house independent company (CIC) Fast Campus announced on the 12th that it has concluded the '2024 GALA (Generative AI Learning Awards)' AI contest.
A total of 400 entries were received for this contest, and after a review process lasting approximately two months, a total of 60 works were selected, including 30 finalists and 30 special award winners. The review was conducted by nine AI experts, including Associate Professor Jae-Geol Joo of KAIST, Advisor Sa-Beom Byun of Plus X, and CEO Su-Jin Kang of The Prompt Company.
This contest was held with the goal of discovering creative cases utilizing AI technology and thereby expanding the possibilities of AI learning and practical application. The contest was judged in three categories: ▲ChatGPT Utilization Cases Category ▲Image/Video Production Using AI Category ▲Service Ideas Using AI Category, and the works that presented excellent ideas in each category were honored with awards.
In the ChatGPT use case category, 'ChatGPT-based security threat analysis automation' won the grand prize. This work proposed a solution that effectively analyzes large-scale security logs in real time using ChatGPT, monitors potential threats, and automatically generates reports. The judges highly praised the solution for presenting a clear approach to solving complex IAM (Identity and Access Management) log analysis.
In the image and video production category using AI, 'They Awakened the Ancient Beings in the Sea' won the grand prize. This work produced a sci-fi monster horror film using generative AI technology, and was highly praised for maintaining natural movements and scene plausibility while drastically reducing production costs and time.
In the AI-based service idea category, the 'GenAI-based prompt-based detection CIEM solution' won the grand prize. This solution provides the function of analyzing various activities occurring in a cloud environment in real time using AI to detect potential threats and automatically suggest optimal security settings. The judges evaluated that this solution's approach to simplifying complex security tasks was particularly impressive.
Team 'ChwitChwit', which won the grand prize in the ChatGPT use case category, said, "Students majoring in security have been thinking about improving the security environment using AI," and "Through this contest, we tried a new approach and gained valuable experience in working together with AI and people to increase the accuracy and efficiency of security solutions."
Shin Hae-dong, CEO of Fast Campus CIC, said, “As AI technology develops rapidly, creative approaches to applying it to practice and daily life are becoming more important,” adding, “We hope that this contest will present new possibilities for utilizing AI and serve as an opportunity to spread AI education and practical application cases through various ideas.”
