ByTeams (CEO Jake Kim), a startup that provides AI-based development organization operation solutions, announced on the 30th that it has attracted a total of 1 million dollars (approximately 1.4 billion won) in pre-seed investment.
This investment was led by 10vc, a tech venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, USA, and Mashup Ventures, a domestic early-stage startup investment firm, also participated.
ByTeams is an AI-based solution that automates the key roles of a technical program manager (TPM), such as scheduling, technical documentation, meeting hosting, and risk response within a technical organization. In particular, it focuses on identifying project progress in real time by integrating and analyzing code repositories (GitHub) and collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, etc.) and automatically detecting bottlenecks or duplicate work to improve development efficiency.
Jake Kim, who co-founded the company, planned ByTeams based on his experience as a development and project lead at Apple, to solve recurring inefficiencies in the operation of technology organizations. Co-founder Anurag Kapale is an AI researcher from Amazon, and the two sides formed a team based on their complementary capabilities in technology and organization operations.
Jake Kim, CEO, said, “ByTeams is focused on resolving structural inefficiencies experienced by technology organizations, and will position itself as an AI solution specialized in organizational operations that needs to be introduced in parallel with AI coding tools.”
Brian Yoo, a partner at Mashup Ventures who participated in the investment, said, “As development productivity increases and project management complexity increases, ByTeams has the execution power and team composition ability to accurately identify problems in the global technology field and quickly provide solutions.”
