
Metaverse platform 'ZEP' announced on the 11th that it will officially enter Indonesia to expand into the Southeast Asian edutech market. ZEP will provide services centered around the edutech platform 'ZEP QUIZ' in Indonesia and plans to accelerate its global business expansion.
Indonesia is the world's fourth most populous country with a population of approximately 280 million, and is considered a country with high potential for growth in the digital environment and edutech market. In particular, Indonesia has 220 million internet users and approximately 110 million school-age people, drawing attention as the largest edutech market in Southeast Asia.
In January, Zep recorded more than 320,000 monthly active users of 'Zep Quiz' in Indonesia, and the number of daily active users reached a peak of 50,000. Having confirmed the high demand in the local market through this, Zep held a webinar on January 24 for local Indonesian teachers on the topic of 'Maximizing Student Learning Effectiveness in the Digital Age'. Approximately 300 local teachers participated in the webinar, demonstrating high interest in Zep's service.
Zep is focusing on localization work, officially supporting the Indonesian language, adding Indonesian traditional costumes to avatar costumes, and providing a school map reflecting the local atmosphere for free, and plans to add maps and objects specialized for Indonesia in the future.
In addition, Jeb has hired five local Indonesian staff to respond to local inquiries, and is also producing Indonesian tutorial videos and operating social media. Jeb is also considering establishing an Indonesian corporation in the future.

We plan to further accelerate our global expansion, starting with the official service in Indonesia.”
