Beyond Music Signs Business Agreement with Japan's UTAGE 3.0

Beyond Music (CEO Jinwoo Cho) announced on the 30th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Japanese fan communication platform startup UTAGE 3.0 (CEO Takumu Tsuruta).

This agreement was pursued to discover joint business opportunities in the global market based on the core competencies and know-how of both companies and to jointly develop new forms of fan experience and communication strategies centered on music IP.

Beyond Music is a music IP investment and management company specializing in securing large-scale music copyright assets and operating capabilities, while UTAGE 3.0 is a Japanese startup that provides new forms of fan experience services such as digital trading cards and performance-linked digital passes with the goal of strengthening interaction between fans and artists.

Through this agreement, the two companies are discussing various cooperation plans, including ▲designing integrated fan experiences before and after performances, ▲planning digital content based on music IP, and ▲joint marketing in the Japanese and Asian markets. In the long term, they plan to build a platform ecosystem that can provide real value to creators, copyright holders, and fans.

Beyond Music CEO Cho Jin-woo said, “This collaboration not only creates new opportunities in the global music industry, but also marks the beginning of Beyond Music’s full-scale entry into the Japanese market.” He added, “Through our collaboration with UTAGE 3.0, we will simultaneously lead innovation in IP utilization methods and global expansion.”

“We are excited to explore new possibilities for music IP through our partnership with Beyond Music,” said Takumu Tsuruta, CEO of UTAGE 3.0. “We will work together to create a global fan experience that connects fans and artists more organically.”
