'Works AI', an all-in-one AI platform optimized for the Korean corporate environment

– “99% cost savings compared to ChatGPT”

– Anyone can use it with one click

– “It will be an alternative to ChatGPT for enterprises”

Companies are increasingly concerned about the introduction of generative AI. High introduction costs, the problem of choosing various AI solutions, low utilization, and security concerns are cited as major challenges. Recently, an innovative solution that can comprehensively solve these concerns has emerged and is attracting attention.

AI3's 'Works AI' is an enterprise platform that integrates major AI models such as GPT, Claude, and Deepl. If each generative AI is a farm that produces excellent raw materials, Works AI is a premium restaurant that cooks these various ingredients to suit the customer's taste.

AI3 has secured 500,000 office workers through its personal 'Works AI' launched in 2023. In December 2024, it introduced the corporate solution 'Works AI Enterprise' in SaaS format. Within a month of its launch, 100 companies, including large corporations and public institutions, adopted it, and AI3 aims to supply it to 1,000 companies by 2025.

AI3, which started as a blockchain company, shifted its business to the AI field in 2023, and in 2024, it was selected for the 'AI Startup Accelerator 2nd Batch' jointly operated by SK Telecom and Hana Bank. AI3 plans to pursue investment attraction this year, fueled by the positive market response to Works AI Enterprise.

■ Use without burden with pay-as-you-go rates

WorksAI Enterprise operates two pricing policies: pay-as-you-go and monthly subscription (10,000 won per month for a certain amount of usage). The pay-as-you-go system is structured so that you only pay the initial subscription fee and are charged based on usage, and there is no monthly subscription fee for unused content.

AI3 CEO Pyo-Chul Min said, “Works AI has a 99% cost-saving effect compared to ChatGPT,” and explained, “We took into account the fact that most employees do not use AI frequently, and especially in the case of production workers, the utilization rate is low, so it can be used sufficiently with 1,000 to 1,200 won per person.” This pay-as-you-go method is particularly popular with small and medium-sized businesses.

WorksAI’s groundbreaking pricing policy stems from its unique business structure. CEO Pyo said, “Because we utilize existing models, we do not have our own GPU or engine, so the cost ratio is low, allowing us to offer low prices.”

This strategy was well-received in the market, and achieved the success of securing 100 customers within a month of its launch in December 2024.

■ Write AI with one click

The biggest obstacle to AI adoption is its complicated usage. Noting that most employees, except for specialists, have difficulty using it, CEO Pyo focused on building a system that anyone can easily use.

Works AI allows you to utilize AI with just a click. Instead of entering complex prompts, you can simply click on 43 types of business AI apps. CEO Pyo explained, “We implemented everyday tasks such as writing reports, organizing meeting minutes, and reviewing contracts into AI apps so that you can get immediate answers without having to worry about prompts.”

In particular, the 'Prompt Magic Wand' function is noteworthy. Representative Pyo said, "You can create an official company secretary with one click, and it is automatically converted into a prompt that contains the expertise of prompt engineers for the first time in Korea."

The use of internal data has also been simplified. “Managers can build a RAG chatbot in 5 minutes without separate development, and can also set up personalized secretaries within the same amount of time,” said CEO Pyo.

This convenience has led to high usage rates, with 48% of corporate account users participating as active users at least once a month, according to AI3.

CEO Pyo emphasized, “Anyone can use it with just a click without prior knowledge of AI utilization, which greatly improves the company-wide AI utilization capacity.” In this way, WorksAI is lowering the entry barrier for generative AI and leading the popularization of AI for domestic companies.

■ Contains various functions

Works AI is equipped with many functions specialized for Korean companies. The automatic drafting of Korean plans and proposals supports both DOCX and HWP, and AI collaboration is possible from extracting the table of contents to writing and editing content when uploading document formats. In particular, the automatic table of contents recognition function of HWP formats for public institution business proposals and bids is evaluated to have been developed based on an accurate understanding of the domestic work environment.

The OCR function is also attracting attention. CEO Pyo explained, “Documents that required manual input, such as business partner bankbook copies and employee receipts, can be automatically organized, and Excel files can be automatically created simply by uploading a document photo, and corporate formats can also be recognized.”

Mobile support has also been strengthened. All functions can be used equally on iOS and Android apps as well as on mobile web, and the installed version can be used directly from the company messenger through MS Teams app linkage.

Security has been strengthened through a triple-dialogue safety system. Personal information patterns are identified to block input, AI infers input personal information and rejects responses, and personal information is anonymized through a full investigation and OCR when uploading documents or images.

■ We will become a company that contributes to the wave of generative AI.

AI3 plans to launch new functions of Works AI in the first half of the year, such as automatic writing of meeting minutes, writing of in-depth reports, and automatic creation of PPTs. CEO Pyo explained, “We have been reflecting customer needs through weekly updates for the past two years.”

CEO Pyo said, “The introduction of generative AI in enterprises has reached a point of irreversible change. As AI performance continues to improve and actual work efficiency is increased, demand from individuals and enterprises that have experienced this is increasing,” and “All enterprises will introduce generative AI within the next five years. The current change is a great opportunity, and our goal is to become an alternative to ChatGPT for enterprises,” expressing his expectations for the market potential.

WorksAI's case shows the possibility that domestic startups can succeed in the AI market with a strategy that is different from global big tech. In particular, it is expected to become a benchmarking case for future startups, as the use of external models can be a strength rather than a weakness.
