The '2024 Preliminary Startup Package Southeast Region Union Meet-Up, Talk! Talk!' event, hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Startup Promotion Agency and co-hosted by the Gyeongnam, Ulsan, and Busan Creative Economy Innovation Centers, was held successfully at the Park Hyatt Busan Hotel on the 7th.
This event, attended by approximately 70 people including 50 startup companies and officials from institutions, was designed to bring together startup companies that participated in the 2024 Preliminary Startup Package Project to share their experiences in the startup process and promote continuous cooperation and growth through networking with experts and officials.
The main programs of the event included 'Progress Reports by Hosting Agencies of the Preliminary Startup Package', 'Presentation of Cases of Excellent Startup Companies', and '2025 Insight Special Lecture'. In particular, Dr. Jihye Choi of Seoul National University's Consumer Trend Analysis Center received a great response by providing entrepreneurs with insights on future market changes through the 'Trend Korea 2025' special lecture.
In addition, '1-minute speech' and 'elevator pitching' networking sessions were held where startups could freely introduce their businesses and seek collaboration opportunities, and participants had the opportunity to effectively promote their startup items and explore practical possibilities for collaboration.
The Gyeongnam-Ulsan-Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center, which co-hosted this event, plans to continue to actively support startups so that they can continue to grow, and plans to expand various cooperative programs to further strengthen the startup ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the pre-startup package is a startup support project that provides commercialization funds, business model advancement, and prototype production to pre-startup entrepreneurs with technology startup ideas, providing practical support necessary in the early stages of startup.
The 2025 preliminary startup package selection recruitment notice is scheduled for the third week of February and can be checked through the K-Startup startup support portal .
