Nexon and Megazone Cloud Data Experts Selected as Snowflake Superheroes

Snowflake, a global AI data cloud company, announced on the 6th that it has selected Nexon Korea Team Leader Jaemyeon Lee and Megazone Cloud Team Leader Kyungjin Choi as the 2025 'Snowflake Data Superheroes'.

Data Superhero is Snowflake’s global developer support program, and currently 105 data experts around the world are working as data superheroes. They can communicate with data experts around the world, improve their individual capabilities, and participate in the development of Snowflake services. Data experts selected as data superheroes for two consecutive years have been recognized by the headquarters for their contributions to expanding the Snowflake data cloud platform ecosystem and actively participating in mentoring activities.

Nexon Korea’s Jaemyun Lee, team leader, has been developing and operating a high-quality data pipeline by integrating petabytes of user data collected in real time into a single platform. He is currently leading the technology strategy for Nexon’s data integration platform ‘Monolake’ that has introduced a modern data architecture. Megazone Cloud’s domestic partner, Kyungjin Choi, team leader, is designing and building a customer-friendly data architecture to lay the foundation for providing a data cloud platform to customers in various industries such as games, finance, and retail.

Data Superheroes are selected based on four criteria: ▲Content Creation ▲Lead Discussions ▲Snowflake Expertise ▲Supporting Others. The main evaluation criteria are regular content sharing on blogs, podcasts, YouTube, and other channels related to the data cloud platform, and activities leading discussions in forums, user groups, and community events. They share the latest data cloud trends through the community, provide feedback on Snowflake services, share how to use features, and serve as mentors for community members by answering questions.

In addition, the 'Chapter Leader', which is awarded to a leader who has taken the lead in activating the domestic community by connecting and operating regional Snowflake user groups, was selected for the first time in Korea this year. Megazone Cloud's Hyun-Hwan Hyun team leader is the main character, and he was recognized as a key player in activating the community to help Snowflake users grow. Approximately 70 'Chapter Leaders' around the world can host meetings and knowledge sharing sessions where they can share Snowflake usage cases and technical knowledge.

Snowflake operates the 'Snowflake Korea Community' to foster domestic data experts and is working to expand its user and developer ecosystem. Developers and data experts who join the Snowflake community can freely create networking groups to study or complete the company's expert course to build practical capabilities across the entire data cloud. All Snowflake community members are classified as 'Data Heroes', and members who share data usage cases, actively respond to users' questions and requests for help, and contribute to the activation of the community can be selected as 'Data Superheroes' after review.

“We were able to build a data integration environment by directly experiencing Snowflake’s user-friendly features,” said Choi Kyung-jin, team leader at MegaZone Cloud. “As a data superhero, we will continue various activities to help other users discuss problem-solving and easily utilize complex data through the Snowflake community, and to grow into the number one community in the data field.”

“Since last year, Korea has seen the emergence of data superheroes, and the ecosystem of data experts has become more robust,” said Lee Su-hyeon, Snowflake Evangelist. “Snowflake will actively support the development of a developer community led by data superheroes so that it can become a progressive network where companies can discuss and find solutions to challenges facing data utilization in each industry.”
