Bestella Lab selected as ‘ESG Excellent Small and Medium Enterprise’

Bestella Lab (CEO Sangsoo Jeong), which supplies the parking navigation system 'Watchmile' that guides you to empty parking spaces in real time, has been selected as an 'ESG Excellent Small and Medium Enterprise' by the Joint Growth Committee.

The Joint Growth Committee is carrying out the 'ESG Support for Partners' project to strengthen the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) response capacity at the supply chain level between large and small businesses. It conducts ESG education, capacity assessment, and on-site inspections in various ways for the partner small and medium-sized businesses of participating companies, supports ESG (environment, society, and governance) capacity enhancement consulting, and awards 'ESG Excellent Small and Medium-sized Business' certificates to partner companies with excellent ESG index compliance rates.

Vestella Lab participated in this project as a partner of Incheon International Airport Corporation and was evaluated as having excellent R&D activities and performance, including development of green technology and eco-friendly IT services.

In addition, the company has secured competitiveness as an excellent company that fulfills its social responsibility by recording an ESG index compliance rate of over 80% by providing eco-friendly services such as helping reduce exhaust gas emissions generated by vehicles wandering around parking lots to find empty spaces through a parking optimization AI solution.

Vestella Lab has a parking optimization AI solution. 'Watchmile', which uses the world's best indoor positioning technology, accurately analyzes the parking space occupancy status using only the existing security CCTV footage by applying an AI model using LLM (Large Language Model). Through this, it is a service that identifies the real-time parking status and the location of empty parking spaces and guides the route to the optimal parking space according to the user's preferences. Watchmile is currently being serviced in landmarks and large public parking lots such as Incheon International Airport, Seoul Station, and Cheonho Station, large exhibition halls such as KINTEX, large residential facilities, and various knowledge industry centers.

In addition, through 'ZeroCruising', an autonomous driving V2I solution that provides real-time safety information to autonomous vehicles, we are providing a service that not only supports the exact location and movement path of the vehicle, but also immediately notifies of danger in blind spots, thereby greatly contributing to the stability of autonomous driving and the safety of pedestrians.

Bestella Lab CEO Jeong Sang-soo said, “We are pleased that our philosophy of improving the parking lot waiting environment, such as reducing exhaust gas emissions by shortening parking times and alleviating the inconvenience drivers have experienced while parking, has been recognized through this selection as an ESG excellent small and medium-sized enterprise.” He also said, “We will work to further expand and distribute Bestella Lab’s parking optimization AI solution so that it can be actively introduced to domestic public institutions and large corporations that need ESG solutions to improve the waiting environment in parking lots.”

Meanwhile, Vestella Lab is accelerating its overseas business expansion by supplying parking optimization AI solutions to companies in the US and Saudi Arabia based on its precision indoor positioning and AI image analysis technology. It is also actively pursuing the establishment of smart parking systems in overseas landmarks by implementing customized strategies through cooperation with local partners.
