The New Business Startup Academy is a small business startup support program that discovers small business entrepreneurs with innovative ideas, manufacturing technology, and know-how, and provides a package of education, coaching, incubation space, and commercialization funds.
Participants will be provided with up to 40 million won in business start-up funds without any out-of-pocket expenses, and the plan is to establish a foundation for fostering entrepreneurial small business owners through full-cycle customized support for prospective small business owners.
Applicants are limited to prospective entrepreneurs who have not registered as business owners (individuals/corporations) by the date of agreement signing as of the business announcement date (February 4, 2025), and the number of applicants is 20.
The support areas are divided into two categories: ▲Local Creator Type, which contributes to the revitalization of the local economy by grafting creative ideas using the unique characteristics and resources of the region, and ▲Lifestyle Innovation Type, which possesses innovative startup items that combine new content with a lifestyle based on food, clothing, and shelter.
The Gangwon Innovation Center will provide selected participants with specialized training in stages, including basic business education, customized specialized education, 1:1 mentoring, mobile commerce specialized education, and online marketing practice.
