Kyungconjin, recruiting companies to participate in the 'Future Content Production Support' project

Gyeonggi Content Agency (hereafter referred to as Gyeongconjin) announced on the 6th that it will be recruiting participating companies for the 'Future Content Production Support' project until February 25th to revitalize the virtual convergence industry in the province. The total amount of support is 750 million won, and a total of 15 companies will be selected in three areas: ▲Future Technology Convergence, ▲Platform Utilization, and ▲Device Specialization.

The 'Future Content Production Support' project is a project that supports the production and development of content and services in the virtual convergence industry, including: ▲(Future Technology Convergence) 7 companies developing and producing convergence technologies and content in new technology fields such as AI and virtual convergence, ▲(Platform Utilization) 4 companies developing and releasing technologies and content utilizing commercialized metaverse platforms or self-developed platforms, ▲(Device Specialization) up to 4 companies developing and producing technologies and content based on future devices such as spatial computing, AR glasses, and VR headsets.

The 'Future Technology Convergence' field has high demand and preference, so the support amount has been increased from the previous year to 70 million won. The 'Platform Utilization' field has also increased by 5 million won to 35 million won, and the number of selected companies in the 'Device Specialization' field has increased from 3 to 4.

Business participation qualifications are small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in Gyeonggi-do that produce virtual fusion content and services, and the company must be headquartered in Gyeonggi-do. However, if the headquarter is outside Gyeonggi-do, support is only available if the business registration certificate is held with an address in the province. Prospective entrepreneurs must register their business in Gyeonggi-do before signing the agreement after the business is selected. In addition, the business experience requirement of less than 7 years since establishment has been abolished starting this year, expanding the scope of support.

Kyungconjin CEO Tak Yong-seok said, “Domestic policies for the development of the virtual convergence industry are being promoted through the enactment of the ‘Virtual Convergence Industry Promotion Act’ and the ‘Gyeonggi-do Virtual Convergence Industry Promotion and Support Ordinance,’” and “Kyungconjin will continue to provide support to proactively respond to the virtual convergence industry together with Gyeonggi-do.”

Applications can be submitted through the Gyeongkonjin website until 11:00 AM on February 25th. For more information, please refer to the Gyeongkonjin business announcement or contact the Gyeongkonjin Future Content Team (031-8064-1728, metaverse@gcon.or.kr).
