Plotik announced on the 6th that it signed a business cooperation agreement (MOU) with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) Universal Humanoid Laboratory (HuGe) for the development of AI and robot technology.
Through this agreement, the two parties plan to cooperate to advance robot task allocation technology and quickly apply it to actual industries. The main focus is to strengthen the technology that allows cluster-type autonomous robot arms to cooperate based on AI to perform tasks in an optimized manner, and the goal is to improve inefficiency in the logistics industry and maximize productivity.
Plotik is a company that provides 'Floware', a logistics automation solution utilizing swarm autonomous robots. Recently, it is conducting research to develop a mobile manipulator solution that combines AI and swarm autonomous technology. Through this agreement, Plotik plans to develop AI agent technology so that robots can quickly perform expert-level task assignments in logistics sites.
KAIST HuGe Lab is researching the core technology of intelligent perception and reinforcement learning-based solutions, and is leading the field of advanced work automation through industry-academia research collaboration with various institutions. Professor Kim Beom-jun said, “We hope that through this agreement, technologies in the research stage can be applied to industry.”
“Through this agreement, we have created an opportunity to strengthen our research capabilities and provide automation solutions to customers,” said Lee Chan, CEO of Floatik. “Based on Floatik’s differentiated technology, we will lead robotics AI technology in the logistics automation field.”
