TeamViewer, a global leader in remote connectivity and workplace digitalization solutions, announced on the 6th that it is integrating with Google Meet. This will allow users to receive seamless remote support without having to leave the video conferencing platform, and is expected to further enhance work collaboration. As hybrid work environments spread, companies and IT teams need solutions that can solve technical issues more efficiently. This integration between TeamViewer and Google Meet meets this need, allowing companies to receive IT support directly from their preferred video conferencing platform.
Google Meet is a popular, universal business communication platform that businesses of all sizes can use in their daily work. This TeamViewer integration adds remote access and troubleshooting capabilities, allowing businesses using Google Meet to receive IT support and resolve technical issues directly within the platform without having to switch between separate apps or tools.
The 'TeamViewer Remote Control' add-on lets you start a remote support session right from the middle of a Google Meet meeting, without any installation. Support staff can connect to the session immediately via a web browser, and users who don't have TeamViewer installed can easily join through a simple automatic download. This streamlined approach helps IT teams quickly resolve issues that are difficult to resolve through traditional chat, VoIP, or video calls, all while viewing the screen directly. In particular, the ability to run a remote support session during a live meeting saves time and ensures efficient collaboration.
This integration is designed with user convenience in mind while maintaining TeamViewer’s strict security standards. IT professionals can provide remote support directly through a web browser, enabling a quick response, while users can easily join remote support sessions through an automatic installation process without a complex installation process.
“Many businesses today actively use Google Meet as a communication tool, but when technical issues arise, productivity can be hindered,” said Stefan Prestele, SVP of Strategic Alliances at TeamViewer. “By integrating TeamViewer’s powerful remote access capabilities, we can provide immediate IT support during meetings without having to switch between multiple apps, resolve issues in real time, and support smoother collaboration.”
“As a hybrid work environment that combines working in the office and remote work becomes established in Korea, the importance of IT support is growing,” said Lee Hye-young, CEO of TeamViewer Korea. “TeamViewer can solve technical issues in a fast and safe manner through integration with Google Meet, and companies can create a more productive work environment and maximize efficiency by enabling smooth collaboration without interruption to existing workflows. We will do our best to do so.”
Meanwhile, the add-on for Google Meet is currently available through the Google Workspace Marketplace.
