
Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley (Director Jong-Hyeon Han) participated in the medical device exhibition Arab Health 2025 in Dubai and achieved the highest export performance ever.
Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley, together with Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and Wonju City, established the Gangwon Joint Pavilion at Arab Health 2025 in Dubai from January 27 to 30.
This year, 24 medical device and healthcare companies from Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (21 Gangwon Joint Pavilion companies and 3 individual companies) participated in Dubai Arab Health 2025.

During the exhibition period, the participating companies of Gangwon Joint Pavilion conducted 2,451 consultations, and the consultation amount reached 33.53 million dollars (approximately 48.6 billion won). The number of contracts promoted was 202, and the contract amount promoted was 17.55 million dollars (approximately 25.2 billion won), the highest number ever. Of these, the contract amount immediately signed on-site reached 9.35 million dollars (approximately 13.5 billion won), proving the global competitiveness of Gangwon medical device companies.
This exhibition also held a ceremony to celebrate the on-site contract. Four companies, including Otom (USD 400,000), Bieltech (USD 200,000), MI One (USD 500,000), and Hyundai Meditech (USD 2 million), participated in the event and officially announced their successful entry into the global market. The total contract amount for the ceremony was USD 3.1 million.
In addition, by co-hosting a medical device business exchange meeting hosted by Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, we listened to the difficulties faced by medical device companies hoping to enter the Middle Eastern market and promoted networking between related companies and organizations.
Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley Director Jong-Hyeon Han said, “Through participation in this exhibition, companies were able to directly see the potential of the changing Middle Eastern medical device market. We achieved the largest contract performance ever and will continue to break the record in the future. To this end, we will continue to expand the scale of support by reflecting the needs of companies.”
