Classum and Ulsan University Establish Next-Generation Learning Management System

Classum announced on the 4th that it will build a next-generation learning management system (LMS) for shared collaborative education between regional universities together with Ulsan University.

At a time when innovation through convergence and openness between universities is necessary due to digital transformation (DX), a decreasing school-age population, and an increase in international students, Classum and Ulsan University have decided to jointly promote the introduction of an LMS with high expandability and convenience to operate cooperative education between local universities smoothly and effectively.

This project is part of the 'Global University 30 Project' promoted by the Ministry of Education, and the next-generation LMS will be used in subject lectures, joint lectures, local industry-academic cooperation programs, and foreign education programs. Through this, we plan to share comparative advantage courses between schools and provide customized education for users, thereby contributing to improving the quality of local education and fostering future talent in the region.

Classum LMS is a SaaS-type LMS that offers various special features such as high scalability, communication activation functions, AI assistants, convenient learning management functions, and mobile optimization. It is easy to create external lectures outside of undergraduate courses, students from other universities and outsiders can log in immediately, and it promotes cooperative education between universities through multilingual support. In addition, it increases communication between professors and students and students through SNS-type communities and anonymous functions, and can manage learning data in an integrated manner.

AI assistants provide real-time answers to learning materials and lecture operations, and create an active learning environment by responding to academic-related questions in a personalized manner. Grades, attendance, and student management can be easily checked through an intuitive interface, and various class design and operation support functions are available.

This LMS implementation is expected to provide quality education through improved academic administration efficiency, easy academic information management, and improved system usability, and to contribute to fostering talents who will lead the digital transformation.

Kim Seung-jun, director of the Ulsan University Teaching and Learning Development Center, said, “The purpose of establishing the next-generation LMS at Ulsan University is to more effectively promote shared collaborative education among regional universities,” and “Through Classum LMS, we will strengthen the role of a flagship university as a center for regional educational innovation.”

“We are delighted that Classum’s technological prowess and educational effectiveness have been recognized through this project selection,” said Classum CEO Yoojin Choi. “We will lead educational innovation by utilizing AI to increase the efficiency of learning and operation, and by providing lectures and management functions suitable for various class types.”
