
Dunamu announced on the 4th that it held the 2nd inauguration ceremony of 'Upside Academy' at Upbeat Lounge in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 3rd.
Upside Academy is a Web3 security talent training program jointly run by Dunamu and Tiori, and aims to foster globally competitive security experts. The program offers a variety of curricula, including cybersecurity, Web3 and blockchain security training, one-on-one mentoring, and practical training.
This second round included applicants from various fields, including high school graduates, college students, office workers, and police officers. Dunamu selected the final 20 people through document and performance evaluations and interviews, and they will receive training in basic, advanced, and practical courses for four months.
Dunamu will provide participants with the latest specifications of laptops and a personal study space, and will also provide educational support funds, team activity expenses, industrial accident insurance, and snacks. Through this program, Dunamu and Tiori plan to train the best Web3 security experts in Korea and contribute to the creation of a safe Web3 ecosystem.
Student Young-Guk Cho, who was selected as the second batch of trainees, said, “The Upside Academy’s unique feature is that you can gain practical experience that you can’t learn at school,” and expressed his aspirations by saying, “I will develop further by taking the opportunity to immerse myself in Web3 security.”
“Upside Academy is a program that fosters young talent in line with Dunamu’s ESG management philosophy,” said Jaeyong Jeong, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Dunamu. “We will actively support participants so that they can grow into experts who can effectively respond to cyber threats.”
Park Se-jun, CEO of Tiori, said, “We will foster practical security talents based on the know-how of Chainlight Team, Tiori’s web3 specialized department,” and “We will do our best to build a safe web3 ecosystem.”
