Studio Lab attracts 3.3 billion won in investment

Studio Lab (CEO Kang Sung-hoon), a multi-modal AI-based commerce content production company, has attracted 3.3 billion won in investment in its pre-A investment round. This investment was led by SBI Investment, and Naver D2SF, D-Camp, and Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA) jointly participated.

Studio Lab is a company that is innovating the commerce content production sector through 'GENCY', a detailed page automatic production service based on generative AI, and 'GENCY PB', an automated photo shooting solution utilizing intelligent robots. In particular, GENCY goes beyond a simple automation tool and has innovative technology that automatically analyzes the characteristics of products in photos and completes detailed descriptions, designs, and photo arrangements through AI. In Korea, fashion distribution companies such as LF, GS Retail, and W Concept have adopted GENCY and applied generative AI to actual work, and users can experience an efficient production process where a detailed page is completed in just 15 seconds by simply uploading a product photo.

An official from LF said, “Zency automates essential parts of the field and shows a clear difference from existing production tools in the results,” adding, “The reduced work time and high-quality results are of great help in commerce operations.”

Lee Ju-hyeok, director of SBI Investment who led this investment, said, “We are successfully securing early users by effectively introducing generative AI into the content area,” and “We expect healthy growth as a global commerce content company through future market expansion.”

StudioLab has been recognized for its technological prowess at CES, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, winning the CES Innovation Award for two consecutive years. At the 2024 CES, 'Gency' won the Best Innovation Award in the Artificial Intelligence category, and at the 2025 CES, 'GencyPB' won the Robotics Innovation Award, proving its global AI technological prowess. In addition, it was selected for 'Deep Tech TIPS', a private investment-led technology startup support program hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, securing up to 1.7 billion won in government subsidies.

Studio Lab Director Lee Jae-young said, “After this investment, we will further advance our AI technology and accelerate our entry into the global market by expanding the domestic market in fields other than fashion and developing solutions for Amazon merchants.”

Meanwhile, Jenny PB, an AI robot filming solution, opened “Jenny Studio” in the Bada Majibang waiting room on the 2nd floor of Busan Station on February 1st, where you can experience a special video filming experience using a robot.
