Office supplies distribution company Office Depot announced on the 3rd that it has signed a strategic partnership (MOU) with Plant Hall, a B2B plant subscription company.
Through this collaboration, Office Depot will expand its green office solutions for improving the office environment. This is a move to meet the needs of companies pursuing sustainable management while providing employees with a healthier and more energetic workspace. Office Depot is the No. 1 brand in Korea specializing in office supplies and office environment solutions, and provides customized services to numerous companies and organizations through its extensive distribution network and online services across the country. In addition to office supplies, Office Depot supports all solutions necessary for office operation, including office furniture, IT devices, and printing, and is constantly striving to introduce sustainable office environments and innovative services.
Plant Hall is a B2B plant subscription startup that was selected for TIPS, a technology program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It directly develops and possesses an AI-based plant management solution, and based on this, it provides space innovation through plants and B2B subscription solutions. It provides all services related to plants, such as regular indoor and outdoor plant management, customized consulting and construction, and wreath services through subscription services for companies and institutions, and is a subscription service that allows companies and individual customers to easily create green spaces.
Recently, as interest in ESG management and employee welfare has increased among companies, eco-friendly interiors utilizing indoor plants are gaining attention. In line with this trend, Office Depot and Plant Hall plan to curate plants suitable for various office spaces and promote continuous maintenance services through a business partnership. In addition, they plan to provide various benefits of Plant Hall, such as free wreath delivery coupons, to customers acquired through Office Depot. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to create new value for workspaces and present a new paradigm for office environment innovation and employee welfare improvement.
