EDB Appoints Kim Hee-bae as New Korea Country Manager

EDB announced that it has appointed Hee-Bae Kim as the new CEO of EDB Korea.

The newly appointed CEO, Hee-Bae Kim, is an expert with over 28 years of experience in data analysis technology and technology ecosystem development. He has successfully supported digital innovation strategies utilizing data intelligence, cloud, and AI technologies for many domestic enterprise companies. While serving as the CEO of global database vendors such as Teradata Korea, Couchbase, and Greenplum, CEO Kim was also responsible for core tasks such as establishing market strategies for platform product lines, executing market differentiation strategies, solution sales, technology ecosystem development, and channel operations at leading global companies such as SAP.

EDB is leading digital innovation in the global market by combining open source-based Postgres database technology with AI, and CEO Kim Hee-bae plans to lead EDB’s Korean business and expand the scope of application of Postgres database and AI solutions. He will focus on expanding Postgres use cases across various industries, including finance, public, manufacturing, and distribution.

CEO Kim Hee-bae expressed his ambition, saying, “Data and AI are key resources that determine a company’s competitiveness.
