Alchera and Feelgood Innovation Co., Ltd. announced on the 3rd that they have signed a partnership agreement and plan to supply unmanned electronic cigarette vending machines equipped with AI adult authentication solutions to highway rest areas nationwide.
Through this partnership, Alchera will supply its AI adult authentication solution to unmanned electronic cigarette vending machines to be installed at highway rest areas, thereby preventing youth smoking and creating a safe distribution environment. The AI adult authentication solution effectively prevents identity forgery and theft crimes through facial recognition and ID verification, and provides high security.
Feelgood Innovation Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that manufactures and supplies smart vending machines (unmanned platforms), and has supplied products to various fields such as Samsung C&T, Hyundai Engineering, and Amore Pacific. Recently, it has launched new smart vending machines for alcohol and e-cigarettes, and is expanding its 24-hour unmanned platform business.
Alchera ranked first among domestic facial recognition AI solution companies in the facial recognition performance evaluation hosted by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in December last year, and its technological prowess was recognized by obtaining the GS certification level 1 for its facial forgery detection technology. Through this collaboration, Alchera’s solution will be applied to unmanned sales systems to maximize user convenience and stability.
Alchera CEO Hwang Young-gyu said, “The electronic cigarette market is growing rapidly every year, and the domestic market size is expected to reach 2.5 trillion won and the global market to reach 18.2944 billion dollars by 2029.” He added, “We plan to start in the domestic market and expand to the global market, and supply AI real-time authentication solutions across the unmanned industry.”
