Lavawave (CEO Kim Jun-yeop), a digital crime response specialist, announced on the 3rd that it had held a meeting with Yongin Eastern Police Station (Chief Kim Jong-gil) including investigative staff to discuss cooperation in responding to phishing crimes such as body cam phishing and voice phishing.
This meeting was attended by Kim Jun-yeop, CEO of Lavawave, Kim Jong-gil, Chief of Yongin East Police Station, and other officials from both organizations. The two organizations shared specific latest phishing crime techniques to devise effective response measures at the scene of the investigation, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the public and the police from various angles through analysis of successful cases and effective Q&A.
In particular, the latest trends in phishing crimes, such as body cam phishing, which has been rapidly increasing over the past several years, and voice phishing, which causes astronomical damage every year, were analyzed, and cooperation measures necessary for technical investigative cooperation were shared.
