New Paradigm Investment (hereinafter referred to as New Paradigm) announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting innovative startups that can receive up to 5 billion won in funding support through the 'Baby Unicorn Growth Program in the First Half of 2025'.
The 'Baby Unicorn Growth Program', now in its 5th year, is a representative accelerating program of New Paradigm specializing in early-stage startups. It proactively discovers startups with high growth potential, provides financial support and customized mentoring, and has laid the foundation for them to stand out in the domestic and international markets.
Last year, New Paradigm invested 6 billion won in new and follow-up investments in 14 startups, and succeeded in attracting about 70 billion won in follow-up investments. In addition, 8 companies recommended to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ TIPS were selected 100%, and the cumulative number of TIPS-selected companies increased to 34, and a total of 19 billion won in government subsidies was attracted.
Startups selected through this Baby Unicorn Growth Program can receive up to 5 billion won in financial support. The main support contents are ▲up to 500 million won in initial investment ▲500-700 million won in TIPS recommendations for technological advancement ▲1.5 billion won in deep-tech TIPS recommendations, etc. In addition, depending on the growth indicators, ▲up to 1 billion won in follow-up investment ▲2 billion won in linked investment, etc., will be provided continuously. In addition to investment, New Paradigm also provides strategic support for startups’ technological development and market expansion.
The target of the recruitment is an early-stage startup with less than 3 years of business experience that has an innovative business item and a business indicator that has been verified by PoC (Proof of Concept). The business must have at least 3 months remaining as of the time of application.
The recruitment fields are ICT (AI, B2B, SaaS, digital transformation, etc.), commerce (specialized market), silver tech, sports tech, etc., 4th industrial revolution fields, and deep tech fields such as digital healthcare, smart robots, and generative AI, and we plan to support innovative startups in various fields.
