Bigtex Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with Panasia

Bigtex Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Bigtex, CEO Jinheung Choi) announced on the 23rd that it signed a strategic partnership business agreement with global eco-friendly energy solution company Panasia Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Panasia, CEO Mingeol Lee) for the CCUS business to achieve the national carbon neutrality goal.

Through this business agreement, the two companies will ▲ jointly develop technologies for carbon capture and liquefaction facility systems related to the 'CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage) and OCCS (On-board Carbon Capture System)' businesses, and ▲ promote cooperation in the purchase and distribution of liquefied carbon dioxide captured from ships. The two companies are expected to contribute to the sustainable development of related industries by securing global competitiveness based on technological reliability.

Bigtex is a company that is leading the continuous development and commercialization of CCUS (carbon capture, utilization, storage) technology, and has secured unrivaled excellence in the modularization, standardization, optimization, and miniaturization of carbon capture and liquefaction facilities. This appears to have led to the verification of technology in the technology evaluation for listing in the second half of 2024, and based on this, it is pushing for listing on the KOSDAQ market within the first half of this year.

Panasia is a specialized company that provides eco-friendly facilities and solutions such as fuel supply systems utilizing eco-friendly alternative energy and carbon dioxide capture and storage devices. In particular, based on technology for efficiently processing carbon dioxide captured from ships, it has unrivaled shipboard demonstration experience in the OCCS field and is positioned as a leader in carbon emission reduction and eco-friendly shipping solutions in related industries at home and abroad.

Recently, as the climate crisis worsens worldwide and carbon neutrality goals are emerging as important tasks across industries, the shipping industry is also paying attention to the introduction of new carbon reduction technologies in addition to the use of existing eco-friendly fuels and energy efficiency improvements. Among them, shipboard carbon capture and storage (OCCS) technology has established itself as an important topic for sustainable shipping, and it is expected that Bigtex and Panasia's continued cooperation and technology development will greatly contribute to the development of related industries.
