Doeat, a mobile delivery application for single-person households, announced on the 24th that it has attracted Series A investment. Doeat has now completed attracting a total of 30.6 billion won in investment, including Series A and Series A2.
Doit is a delivery app platform for single-person households. It offers differentiated services such as 'Lifetime Free Delivery' for single-person orders with a minimum order amount of 9,000 won, and 'Doit777', which curates 7 single-person dishes for 7,900 won every day without delivery fees for consumers who have trouble deciding on a menu.
Although Doit's service scope is limited as it is currently operated only in the Seoul metropolitan area, it is recognized for its competitiveness in the competitive mobile delivery platform market as the number of transaction customers has grown 328-fold in the three years since its launch in February 2022 and the purchase frequency of top users is five times that of major delivery platforms.
Doit's Series A investment was led by Goodwater Capital, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm and early investor in Kakao, Coupang, and Toss, with participation from domestic venture capital firms such as SBVA, Base Ventures, Hashed, and BDC Labs.
Doit plans to use the investment funds raised this time to build a community with neighbors and diversify its service categories beyond delivery food to various individual consumption areas. It also plans to expand Doit's service scope to areas outside of Seoul and the metropolitan area.
Lee Yoon-seok, CEO of Doit, said, “In line with the unprecedented increase in the number of single-person households, we will connect single-person households with their neighbors through the Doit platform and solve all the problems they experience in their daily lives.” He added, “As we have already proven our high customer loyalty and profitability, we will use this investment as an opportunity to become a solution for single-person households in more regions of the country.”
