Newbility, Smart City Association, Dongseong I-Tech Sign Business Agreement

Newbility (CEO Sangmin Lee), an intelligent robot service platform company, announced on the 1st that it signed a three-party business agreement (MOU) with the Smart City Association (Chairman Dongseon Park) and smart parking platform company Dongsung I-Tech (CEO Yongseok Lee) for ‘building future city services.’

This agreement aims to improve citizen convenience and urban safety by innovating key urban services such as illegal parking crackdowns, patrols, and deliveries with autonomous robots and advanced solutions.

According to the agreement, Newbility will intelligently demonstrate urban mobility services such as patrol, delivery, and crackdown using its autonomous driving RaaS (robot as a service) platform. DongSung I-Tech’s flexible parking platform will provide unmanned operation-based smart parking services, and the Smart City Association will link the collected data with integrated platforms and safety nets to contribute to strengthening citizen safety and spreading smart city technology.

If actual cooperation is carried out, a system will be operated in which Newbility's autonomous robot 'Newbee' will be dispatched to the scene to check the situation and crack down and issue warnings when a vehicle that has not used the flexible parking platform parks.

Newbility CEO Lee Sang-min said, “This collaboration is a meaningful first step toward building intelligent city services together between the public and private sectors,” adding, “We will work to expand future city services by advancing technology and cooperating with various local governments and public institutions.”
