Alux announced on the 24th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) to expand marine drone technology and the domestic drone ecosystem.
The agreement ceremony was held at the Alux headquarters in Seoul, and the two companies plan to create synergy by combining each other’s technological prowess and business capabilities. Alux possesses unrivaled technological prowess through its numerous drone mass production experiences and self-developed flight controllers (FC), and is expanding its business areas through individual core component businesses. Marine drone technology requires stable domestic component procurement and production cooperation, and the cooperation between the two companies is expected to play a mutually complementary role.
Through this MOU, Aerux plans to expand its cooperative relationship with domestic drone companies and take the lead in building a competitive drone ecosystem. Aerux entered the market in 2019 with a lightweight drone. After launching its first product in 2022, it signed export contracts worth millions of dollars with the United States and Japan, and has sold more than 150,000 drones to date. Aerux is equipped with a self-developed FC system that enables flight stability and accurate positioning, and is 90% lighter than global competitors and has additional functions such as RF, motor/power driver.
Alux CEO Lee Chi-heon said, “The MOU with Marine Drone Technology will become the cornerstone for the development of the domestic drone industry,” and “The high-performance FC developed domestically is competitive in price and quality compared to foreign products, so there is a high possibility that it will occupy a high market share in both domestic and international markets.”
Marine Drone Technology CEO Hwang Ui-cheol said, “Domestic production of maritime delivery drones and tuna school detection drone systems is very significant in terms of securing technological competitiveness and stable production,” and added, “We will fulfill our role as a leading drone solution provider leading innovation in the global drone industry.”
