KAIST Youth Startup Investment Holdings Invests 800 Million Won in Seed Funds in ‘K-Work Partners’

KAIST Youth Venture Investment Holdings (hereafter KAIST Venture Investment) announced on the 24th that it had made a seed investment of 800 million won in K-Work Partners Co., Ltd., which operates the foreigner comprehensive living support platform 'Kstart'.

K-Start is an innovative platform that helps foreign workers and overseas students living in Korea to live more conveniently in Korea, providing integrated services from preparation before entering the country to daily life after settling in. The platform supports foreigners to quickly adapt to Korean society through various functions such as nationality-based communities, life support call centers, commerce, and financial services.

KAIST Venture Investment Director Ahn Jun-hyun explained, “Korea is facing a major threat of a decreasing working-age population due to low birth rates and an aging population, and the importance of foreign workers is increasing due to the government’s fourth foreign policy overhaul,” and added, “K-Start has been considering ways to increase the domestic settlement rate in line with the expectations of foreigners, and we expect it to establish itself as a representative platform for foreigners in Korea based on this.”

“K-Start will become an essential app for foreigners,” said Cho Seong-gon, CEO of K-Work Partners. “It will help foreigners live a safe and convenient life in Korea and ultimately contribute to their integration into the local community.”
