SMACK participates in 'India Bengaluru International Machine Tool Show 2025'

Smack (CEO Young-Seop Choi) announced on the 24th that it will participate in the 'India Bengaluru International Machine Tool Show (IMTEX) 2025', an Indian machine tool exhibition, together with its dealer SAMKRISH.

IMTEX 2025 is one of the largest machine tool exhibitions in Asia, hosted by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA), and will be held in Bengaluru, India for 7 days from January 23 to 29 (local time). Through this exhibition, SMAC will enter the Indian market and showcase machine tools and robot solutions used in various industries such as automobiles, semiconductors, aviation, and defense. Major exhibit items include two machining center models, including the LCV6700 and SL3500 machine tools, and three CNC lathe series models that realize heavy-duty cutting.

According to KOTRA, the Indian machine tool industry is worth 1.5 billion dollars (approximately 2.16 trillion won) and is expected to grow by 8.2% annually to reach 3.05 billion dollars (approximately 4.4 trillion won) by 2032. This is an indicator of the potential of the Indian market, which is emerging as a global manufacturing hub.

Through its participation in this exhibition, Smack plans to accelerate its entry into the Indian and South Asian markets, which have been relatively undervalued compared to major markets such as the US and Europe. In particular, Smack, which has focused on expanding its overseas market by consistently participating in global exhibitions even during the COVID-19 pandemic, is continuing aggressive marketing activities this year with the goal of a steady upward curve.

A SMACK official said, “India is a market with high growth potential for the machine tool industry, and we expect to strengthen our local partnership and expand our market share through our participation in IMTEX 2025.” He added, “We will further strengthen our global competitiveness by providing customized products and services to customers.”
