Klop Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyun-Jun Kim) announced that it was selected for the '2025 Cloud-based Medical Collaboration Platform Pilot Project' hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and held a groundbreaking ceremony at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital on June 26.
This pilot project aims to improve the collaboration system between medical institutions, hospitalization, transfer, and treatment information linkage system by utilizing cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The Bundang Seoul National University Hospital consortium, which includes Klop, was finally selected in a competition with a total of 10:1, and will receive government support of approximately 3.3 billion won for up to two years.
As a key participant in the consortium, Klop will develop a cloud-based system that expands medical collaboration functions based on its existing diabetes patient referral platform. The platform developed through this project is expected to digitalize the process of patient referral, reservation, and medical information transmission between medical institutions, and provide more efficient treatment to chronic disease patients within limited medical resources.
Klopp plans to expand its services nationwide based on the 'Afternoon' platform, which is currently being used in actual medical settings.
In addition to Klop, a total of 11 medical institutions are participating in this project, including HD Junction, a cloud EMR specialist, Sumbit AI, a developer of generative AI-based medical diagnosis software, Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Seoul Boramae Hospital, Bundang Cha Hospital, and Suwon Hospital.
Klop CEO Kim Hyun-jun said, “The goal of this project is to go beyond simple system development and create a practical medical cooperation environment that patients and medical staff can actually experience,” adding, “Based on our accumulated technological prowess and field experience, we will contribute to the innovation of the domestic chronic disease management system.”
Professor Park Sang-jun (Principal Investigator) of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital said, “In order to manage chronic diseases including diabetes, information sharing and cooperation between medical institutions are key,” and “We plan to strengthen the clinical linkage between general hospitals and regional hospitals through a digital-based collaborative treatment system and establish patient-centered, sustainable medical services.”
