
SDT (CEO Jiwon Yoon), a company specializing in industrial digital transformation (DX) solutions and quantum standard technology, announced on the 1st that it signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for industry-academia cooperation with Sungkyunkwan University (President Jibeom Yoo) to foster talent in the field of quantum technology.
This agreement was promoted with the goal of fostering next-generation quantum technology experts through linkage with the newly established Quantum Information Engineering Department at Sungkyunkwan University. According to the agreement, the two institutions will jointly conduct practical education and research activities based on industry-academia cooperation.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲joint research in quantum technology application fields ▲support for training based on practical and field projects ▲sharing of equipment and technology infrastructure ▲provision of internship and field training opportunities.
SDT plans to provide students of the Quantum Information Engineering Department of Sungkyunkwan University with an opportunity to participate in a project to develop industrial measurement and control systems using its quantum technology. Sungkyunkwan University will utilize the ultra-precision measurement and control equipment developed by SDT for research and practice during the educational process.
SDT CEO Jiwon Yoon said, “Quantum technology is receiving attention as a future core technology that will have a large impact on various industrial fields in the future,” and added, “We will continue to work with educational institutions to commercialize quantum technology and strengthen the foundation for fostering practical talent.”
