Kibo, recruiting participating companies for the '16th Kibo Venture Camp'

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced that it is recruiting innovative startups (including prospective startups) to participate in the “16th KIBO Venture Camp” until February 13, 2025. KIBO Venture Camp is a program that complies with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “Domestic Startup Ecosystem Activation Policy,” and aims to discover and foster innovative startups by collaborating with private accelerators based on KIBO’s experience in supporting technology startups.

The recruitment target is innovative startups or prospective startups that have been established for less than 3 years, and approximately 75 companies will be selected through the first document screening and the second presentation evaluation. In addition to the general selection, this recruitment will discover various companies through ▲regional balance ▲ESG ▲new growth 4.0 ▲prospective startup special selection, and will also contribute to regional balanced development and social value creation.

Companies selected for the Kibo Venture Camp will receive various support such as ▲ consulting for establishing a customized growth strategy ▲ mentoring with experts ▲ investment attraction opportunities and networking with private VCs, and all programs are provided completely free of charge. In particular, companies selected through the ESG selection process will also be given the opportunity to participate in the 2050 Carbon Neutral Green Growth Committee's 'Net Zero Challenge X Project'.

In addition, Kibo will provide a package of non-financial services such as R&D support and technology transfer along with financial services such as guarantees and investments to companies that have completed the venture camp, and will continue to provide systematic support so that innovative startups can lead to successful establishment. Lee Sang-chang, a director at Kibo, said, “Participating companies will receive support such as customized guarantees and recommendations for investment target companies for each commercialization stage, and excellent companies can receive up to 1.5 billion won in guarantees and 500 million won in conditional equity acquisition agreements (SAFE) investment.” He added, “Kibo will actively pursue various support policies so that startups with innovative technologies can grow into future unicorn companies.”
