The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “KIBO”) announced on the 23rd that it visited the Gamman Community Welfare Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Welfare Center”) in Nam-gu, Busan, to conduct love-sharing activities to revitalize the local economy and ensure a safe holiday during the Lunar New Year holiday.
On the 22nd, 17 members of the Gibo Love Volunteer Group visited a welfare center to provide special Lunar New Year meals to 100 underprivileged senior citizens in the area, and delivered sharing packages consisting of local agricultural and marine products purchased from the sister market, Cheolduk. This volunteer activity was carried out as a meaningful event to help local residents have a warm holiday.
In addition, Kibo contributed to the revitalization of traditional markets by promoting traditional market shopping events through Kibo Love Volunteer Group’s Buul-Gyeong Branch, Daegu-Gyeongbuk Branch, and Chungcheong Branch. Donated agricultural and marine products were delivered to welfare centers, helping to spread the culture of sharing in the region.
As part of its special volunteer activities for the Lunar New Year, Kibo has also worked to improve safety awareness among local residents by conducting ‘on-site safety education’ such as elevator safety education for the elderly and the Safety UP! concert. Through this, Kibo is not only supporting the underprivileged but also contributing to creating a safe society.
Kim Dae-cheol, CEO of Kibo, said, “I am glad that we could convey our warm hearts to the local community through this sharing event prepared to welcome the New Year of 2025, the Year of the Snake,” and added, “Kibo will continue to operate various social contribution programs, grow together with the local community, and continuously spread the culture of sharing.”
