
IP-based commerce startup WakeBunny announced on June 27 that it had attracted Pre-A series investment from Korea Investment Partners. This investment will be used to expand the IP commerce product line, develop overseas export channels such as the US, Japan, and Taiwan, diversify categories to include beauty and health functional foods (health functional foods), and strengthen brand competitiveness.
Wakebunny is a startup that focuses on IP-based commerce business. It was founded in March 2025 by members from various industries including F&B, distribution, entertainment, and advertising agencies.
Lee Ji-soo, director of Korea Investment Partners, explained the background of the investment, saying, “Wakebunny is a team with the planning ability to commercially transform IPs in various fields and the execution ability to sensitively respond to changing consumer trends,” and “We highly evaluated the possibility of expanding the business area to all lifestyles and the market responsiveness.”
Wakebunny CEO Kim Young-wook said, “We would like to thank Korea Investment Partners for recognizing the potential of IP and content-based commerce and sharing their vision.” He added, “We will focus on growing into a brand that connects with consumers across lifestyles through IP-centered commerce and expanding the value of Korean IP in the global market.”
