Mayai, Coway Gallery Expands Visitor AI Analysis Solution ‘Mash’ Supply to Nationwide Stores

PoC conducted in 3 stores in 2023, expansion of mesh supply stores to 26 nationwide

– Minimizes aggregation errors with self-developed ‘employee filtering’ technology with an accuracy of over 90%… Eliminates concerns about personal information infringement

Image processing AI startup MayI (CEO Chan-gyu Kim) announced that it signed an expansion contract with best life solution company Coway for its store analysis AI solution 'mAsh' and will fully supply its solution to all Coway Gallery brand experience and sales stores nationwide.

In 2023, Mayi conducted a technology verification (PoC) at three Coway Galleries, proving that Mesh's Insight is effective in systemizing store operations and improving performance, and officially supplied it to nine stores in the same year. Afterwards, in 2024, the scope of introduction was expanded to 18 stores, and the scale has expanded to 26 branches at present, and it plans to continue expanding to newly opened stores in the second half of the year.

Mayai supplies Mash's 'Counting Plan', which comprehensively collects and analyzes store visitor data, to Coway, providing data on the number of visitors, gender, and age group. Based on this, Coway improves spatial experience through store operation performance evaluation and accurate calculation of unit price, and plans to introduce Mash to new stores this year as soon as they open and manage performance data from the beginning.

MASH analyzes video data from offline stores based on a deep learning algorithm developed by Mayai, and delivers key performance indicators (KPIs) and various insights that can be used to improve performance. This allows store operators to make data-based decisions, and since it does not use facial recognition technology, there is no concern about personal information infringement when collecting and analyzing visitor data.

In particular, MASH's 'employee filtering' technology can identify employees in stores with over 90% accuracy, minimizing aggregation errors. It distinguishes customers and employees based on whether or not they are wearing uniforms, contributing to improving store operation efficiency.

Kim Chan-gyu, CEO of May I, said, “The collaboration with Coway is a representative case that proves the effectiveness of store data analysis,” and added, “We will continue to take the lead in precisely analyzing and improving various experiential spaces so that visitors’ brand experience can lead to actual purchase conversions.”

Meanwhile, Coway Gallery is a complex offline store where you can directly experience and purchase major products of sleep and healing care brand BEREX, including beds, massage chairs, water purifiers, air purifiers, and bidets.
