The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) and the Daejeon Metropolitan City held the 'Speed Network 2025 Program' at the Daejeon Startup Park headquarters on the 1st.
This program was led by 55 companies from the local startup network community 'D-MEMBERS' operated by the Daejeon Innovation Center. In addition, a total of 120 people including the Daejeon Metropolitan City, Daejeon/Sejong Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Research and Development Special Zone Foundation, Chungcheong Angel Investment Hub, and 17 investment companies and related organizations that support startups participated and engaged in active exchanges.
The 'Speed network 2025 program' was established as part of the '2025 Daejeon Startup Park Private Sector Operation Support Project' to build a speedy mutual cooperation network by bringing together various startup ecosystem members, such as Daejeon Startup Park resident investors, accelerators (AC), venture capitals (VC), government-funded research institutes, and related organizations.
The event went beyond simple networking and provided three-dimensional opportunities for cooperation, including ▲worknect with members of the startup ecosystem ▲1:1 investment consultations between startups and investors ▲small-scale meetups by area of interest. In addition, a lecture on tax and labor for startups was held by Lee Ji-hwan, a labor attorney at People HR, a labor law firm.
Worknect is a compound word of work and connect, meaning 'to be connected while working' or 'to communicate and interact through work'. It is an informal exchange program where members of the startup ecosystem can freely network and seek opportunities for collaboration.
Park Dae-hee, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, said, “This program was a meaningful opportunity to build a real partnership between investors and startups beyond a simple meeting,” and added, “We will continue to provide various opportunities for connection to revitalize the private-sector-led startup ecosystem in the Daejeon region.”
