– Expected expansion of public sector email security market by securing dual reliability of “international standard + government certification”

Kiwon Tech (CEO Dong-cheol Kim), an international standard email security company, announced on the 2nd that its outgoing email security solution 'SendGUARD V1.1' was selected for the '2025 First Half Excellent Invention Priority Purchase Recommendation Project' hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

The Patent Office's Excellent Invention Priority Purchase Recommendation Project is a system that recommends excellent inventions of small and medium-sized enterprises to be purchased preferentially by national organizations, local governments, public institutions, etc., in accordance with Article 39 of the 'Invention Promotion Act'. As it was selected through a comprehensive evaluation of technological innovation, excellence, marketability, etc., it is expected that SendGuard's expansion into the public sector will accelerate further based on its proven technological prowess.

SendGuard is a solution specialized in preventing leakage of important information through corporate outgoing emails and effectively responding to email misdelivery incidents. It directly analyzes the original email in a way that is different from existing DLP (Data Loss Prevention) solutions, and it is capable of detection even in encrypted communication environments, providing a powerful security function.

In particular, SendGuard blocks both intentional and unintentional leaks of internal information through key functions such as ▲organizational chart-based approval policy setting ▲encryption of sending and enhanced security for recall ▲prevention of malicious email replies. It also provides confidential information protection through OCR analysis and external sending blocking functions, allowing the establishment of a comprehensive outgoing email security system.

With this selection as an excellent invention, Sendgard has been designated as a priority purchase target for public institutions, simplifying the introduction process and greatly improving accessibility for public institutions through registration on the Public Procurement Service’s national marketplace.

Kiwon Tech, which has already been selected as a supplier for the '2021 Technology Leakage Prevention System Construction Project', has contributed to the construction of a government-level technology leak prevention system, and this selection for priority purchase is evaluated as an achievement that has once again proven its technological prowess and reliability in the public sector.

Following the establishment of the world's first email security international standard ITU-T X.1236 in 2023, Kiwon Tech has been continuously leading global standardization by leading the approval of new security guidelines for email security operation status reporting at the ITU-T SG17 international conference in Geneva, Switzerland in April of this year. With the recent government certification of excellent invention, it has acquired strong reliability of 'continuous leadership in international standards + government certification'.

This achievement further solidifies the positioning of Giwon Tech as an 'international standard email security specialist', and is expected to serve as a strong basis for simultaneously appealing to domestic and international customers with both technological excellence and institutional reliability.

“I am very pleased that SendGuard has been selected as an excellent invention,” said Dong-cheol Kim, CEO of Kiwon Tech. “This is another proof of Kiwon Tech’s email security technology, and we will continue to do our best to ensure that all companies, including public institutions, can use email safely.”

Meanwhile, Kiwon Tech will begin to expand into the public sector market in the second half of the year, taking advantage of this selection as an excellent invention. In particular, in a situation where data classification and differential security are becoming more important in line with the government’s N²SF (National Network Security System) policy change, the company plans to actively utilize SendGuard’s government certification advantage.
