Gyeonggi Innovation Center, '2025 Startup Leap Package LG Electronics Track Meetup Day' held

The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim) announced on the 3rd that it held the '2025 Startup Leap Package LG Electronics Track Meetup Day' on July 1st.

About 40 people attended this event, including LG Electronics Managing Director Kang Sung-jin, LG Electronics and Gyeonggi Innovation Center executives, and selected companies. The participating companies introduced their business models and collaboration project goals through pitching, and sought collaboration opportunities through networking.

The Startup Leap Package is a project hosted by the Startup Promotion Agency of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and supports the scale-up of companies in the leap stage of 3 to 7 years since establishment. The Gyeonggi Innovation Center selected a total of 46 companies through the 2025 Startup Leap Package, and successfully attracted excellent companies with annual sales of over 10 billion won and in the Series B stage by operating two tracks of collaboration with large companies. In addition, it is the only one in the country to operate an investment parallel track, contributing to attracting mother funds for startups.

Companies selected for the large company collaboration track will be given the opportunity to carry out collaborative projects with large companies along with support for commercialization funds. LG Electronics is collaborating with startups through the 'STUDIO341' open innovation space, and in cooperation with the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, companies selected this year will carry out collaborative projects with the HS (Home-appliance Solution) and MS (Media-entertainment Solution) business divisions for 10 months.

An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “We will go beyond providing financial support for commercialization and create successful cases of collaboration between professional accelerators and LG Electronics business divisions.”
